Koh Pha-ngan has an area of 192 km and is located to the north of Koh Samui. With rocky landscape and waterfalls, it is ideal for adventure-seeking visitors. Over a hundred in expensive bangalows built in natural settings are scattered around. Jeeps, motorcycles and boats are available for rent. The island can be reached by daily fery boats from Tha Thong Pier or Ban Don Pier in Surat Thani or from Koh Samui.
Koh Tao is 45 km to the north of Koh Pha-ngan. Avery ideal place for snorkelling and diving because of the perfect visibility and the rich aquatic life.
Koh Nang Yuan is a group of three virgin islands close to the north of Koh Tao, joined together by a three way stretch of pure white sandy beach, offering a scenic view. The sea around it is excellent for diving and snorkelling because of its wide variety of coral formations and a large quantity of marine fauna.
Ang Thong Islands Marine National Park, 20 km to the west off Koh Samui, is full of fascinating beaches, caves and coral formations. The about-40-island group is abundant with marine resources. The largest island of the group is Wua Ta Lap on which is situated the park office.
